Apheresis; drawing of stem cells being collected from a person's bloodstream using an apheresis machine. Blood is removed from a vein in the person's arm and flows through the machine where the stem cells are removed. The rest of the blood is returned to the person through a vein in the other arm.
Apheresis. A procedure that uses a special machine to collect blood stem cells or other parts of the blood from a person's bloodstream. The rest of the blood is then returned to the person.
